With recent evolution of adversarial techniques, intrusions have become more complex that may threaten the security of various assets regarding information and applications. In addition, coordinated intrusions like worm outbreak can continue to be a major threat to information, system and network security in the near future. The popularity of Internet may generate a large volume of different types of sensitive information. Therefore, there is a need for emerging techniques, theories and applications to protect information and practical security.
The 6th International Conference on Emerging Information Security and Applications (EISA 2025) aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners across the world to exchange their ideas. It seeks original submissions that discuss practical or theoretical solutions to enhance the information and application security in practice.
Conference features:
- A best paper award will be granted to the qualified papers.
- Good quality papers will be invited to SCI-indexed journal special issues:

Title: Developing Internet and Blockchain Emulator for Cybersecurity
To provide a learning and testing environment for cybersecurity and networking, we have developed an open-source Internet Emulator (called SEED Emulator), which allows us to create a miniature Internet that can run inside a single personal machine or on multiple cloud machines. Even though it is small, it has all the essential elements of the real Internet. Many interesting network technologies can be deployed on the emulator. We have used this emulator to create a DNS infrastructure, a Botnet, a Darknet, an Internet worm, and BGP prefix hijacking attacks. We have also deployed the Ethereum blockchain on the emulator, creating a Blockchain emulator with tens or even hundreds of nodes, all inside a single computer. This emulator was initially developed for educational use, but since it was released in 2021, many research groups have started to use it for their research in the cybersecurity, blockchain, and networking fields. In this talk, I will present the design and features of the SEED emulator and its applications in both research and education. I will also demonstrate some of the interesting activities using the emulator.
Dr. Wenliang (Kevin) Du, ACM Fellow and IEEE Fellow, is the Qiushi Chaired Professor of the Zhejiang University. Before 2025, he was the Meredith Professor at Syracuse University. His current research interest focuses on Internet/blockchain emulation and cybersecurity education. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1993 and Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in 2001. He founded the SEED-Labs open-source project in 2002. The cybersecurity lab exercises developed from this project are now being used by 1,180 institutes worldwide. His self-published book, “Computer & Internet Security: A Hands-on Approach”, has been adopted as textbook by 300 institutes. He is the recipient of the 2017 Academic Leadership award from the 21st Colloquium for Information System Security Education. His research has been sponsored by multiple grants from the National Science Foundation and Google. He is a recipient of the 2021 ACSAC Test-of-Time Award and the 2013 ACM CCS Test-of-Time Award.

Title: Tensor-based Cyber-Physical-Social Big Data Analytics and Intelligence
Big data derived from diverse spaces-including cyber, physical, and social space-is integrated to form Cyber-Physical-Social Big Data (CPSBD). CPSBD exhibits features such as massive volume, multi-source origins, heterogeneous types, and intricate relationships. Tensor-based data representation approach enables unified modeling of such heterogeneous and multi-modal data. By employing tensor-based data analytical methods, such as tensor decomposition and tensor networks, implicit data structures and patterns can be extracted through multi-dimensional correlation analysis, thereby providing accurate and intelligent services in practical applications.
Dr. Huazhong Liu is a Professor at Hainan University, China. He currently serves as the vice dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, HNU, and the Deputy Director of the International Joint Laboratory under the Ministry of Education, China. His research interests focus on big data, scalable computing, and interpretable artificial intelligence. He has published 60+ papers, with the majority appearing in IEEE/ACM Transactions and other top journals and international conferences, such as ACM SIGIR, ACM MM, IEEE TBD, TITS, TNSM, TEM, TNSE, TII, TCSS, TSusC. He has led more than 10 major research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China. He has also made significant contributions to prominent academic conferences, including Leading Program Chair for Springer ICA3PP 2025, IEEE UIC 2024, IEEE Cybermatics Congress 2023, IEEE GPC 2021, and IEEE SmartData 2020/2019, as well as Executive Chair for IEEE Metaverse 2022. He has been awarded IEEE HITC Award for Excellence (Early Career Researcher, 2022), IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence (Early Career Researcher, 2020), IEEE HPCC Outstanding Paper Award (2024), IEEE ComSoc TCBD Best Journal Paper Award (2019), IEEE TCSC Outstanding Ph.D Dissertation Award (2019), IEEE Outstanding Leadership Award (2019-2025), Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award (2025), etc.
